WCRF plan flashmob type event outside London Eye

A flashmob type event is planned outside the London Eye on Wed 24 May, 12.30pm. The World Cancer research Fund are asking people to join them and to take along a piece of fruit. (We assume you will be asked to either eat it or throw it at someone, probably someone dressed up as a nasty cancerous clown or something.)

Any more details on event? What is a "Flash mob type" event? When / where for the fruit instructions?

Heys,

I was the only flashmobber at this thing, where was everyone?!

It was kind of cool being the guest of honour though. Flashmob represent, yo.

WCRF UK organised a parade through the streets of central London, ending with a flashmob at the London Eye at 12.30pm today. The weather was awful, pouring rain and howling gales, at one point it was considered dangerous for the people who came along dressed up as giant fruit (they looked like they were going to be swept into the Thames on more than one occasion!). Photos are being downloaded from digital cameras as we speak, so I can send one to this site as soon as I have something.

Thanks to those who came along, we very much appreciated the support! Long live flashmobbing!
